Prelude

Welcome

Scripture Readings: Psalm 84:1-2, 4, 10

Better is One Day’

How lovely is Your dwelling place, oh Lord Almighty.

My soul longs and even faints for You.

For here my heart is satisfied, within Your presence.

I sing beneath, the shadow of Your wings.

Better is one day in Your courts, better is one day in Your house,

better is one day in Your courts, than thousands elsewhere.

Better is one day in Your courts, better is one day in Your house,

better is one day in Your courts, than thousands elsewhere.

Thousands elsewhere.

One thing I ask and I would seek, to see Your beauty

to find You in the place Your glory dwells.

One thing I ask and I would seek, to see Your beauty

to find You in the place Your glory dwells.

Chorus

My heart and flesh cry out, for You the living God

Your Spirit’s water for my soul.

I’ve tasted and I’ve seen, come once again to me.

I will draw near to You. I will draw near to You.

Prayer

Scripture Reading: John 15:13-15

Women: Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. You are My friends if you do what I command you.

Men: No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing;

All: but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.”

What a Friend’

Everybody has trials, and temptations. (Ooooo, Ooooo)

Everybody knows heart break, isolation. (Ooooo, Ooooo)

But we can lay our burdens down, lay our burdens down.

What a friend we have in Jesus.  East to west my sins are gone.

I see grace on every horizon.

And forever and ever His heart is my home.

Everybody has fears, everybody got worries. (Ooooo, Ooooo)

Everybody knows sorrow, devastation. (Ooooo, Ooooo)

But we can lay our burdens down, lay our burdens down.

Chorus

No more betrayal, for He is faithful!

He fills me up and my cup runneth over.

No more betrayal, for He is faithful!

How He has proven it over and over, over and over!

What a friend we have in Jesus. East to west my sins are gone.

I see grace on every horizon.

And forever and ever His heart is my home.

What a friend we have in Jesus. East to west my sins are gone.

I see grace on every horizon.

And forever and ever His heart is my home.

Forever and ever His heart is my home

Scripture Readings: Psalm 23:4a; Isaiah 41:17-18

Men: Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me

Women: When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue is parched with thirst, I the Lord will answer them; I the God of Israel will not forsake them.

All: I will open rivers on the bare heights, and fountains in the midst of the valleys. I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.

Psalm 23’

You are my Shepherd and I will not want. You have been good to me.

You have prepared a table for me. You have been good to me.

You make me to lie down in green pastures.

You lead me beside the still waters.

For the sake of Your name, for the sake of Your name, for the sake of Your name.

You have anointed my head with oil. You have been good to me.

Goodness and mercy will follow me home.

You have been good to me.

Chorus

And I will dwell in the house of the Lord.  I will dwell here forever.

I will dwell in the house of the Lord. I will dwell here forever.

Message Title: ‘Calm in life’s valleys’                  Text: Psalm 23

A Psalm of David 1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. 3 He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Standing on the Promises’

Standing on the promises of Christ my King,

thru eternal ages let His praises ring;

glory in the highest I will shout and sing,

standing on the promises of God.

Standing, standing, standing on the promises of God my Savior.

Standing, standing, I’m standing on the promises of God.

Standing on the promises that cannot fail,

when the howling storms of doubt and fear assail,

by the living Word of God I shall prevail,

standing on the promises of God.

Chorus

Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord,

bound to Him eternally by love’s strong cord,

overcoming daily with the Spirit’s sword,

standing on the promises of God.

Chorus

Standing on the promises I cannot fall,

list’ning ev’ry moment to the Spirit’s call,

resting in my Savior as my all in all,

standing on the promises of God.

Chorus

Offering / Prayer

Thank You Lord’

I come before You today, and there’s just one thing that I want to say.

Thank You, Lord, thank You, Lord.

For all You’ve given to me, for all the blessings that I cannot see.

Thank You, Lord, thank You, Lord.

With a grateful heart, with a song of praise.

With an outstretched arm, I’ll bless Your Name and

Thank You, Lord, I just want to thank You, Lord.

Thank You, Lord, I just want to thank You, Lord.

For all You’ve done in my life,

You took my darkness and gave me Your light.

Thank You, Lord, thank You, Lord.

You took my sin and my shame,

You took my sickness and healed all my pain.

Thank You, Lord, thank You, Lord.

With a grateful heart, with a song of praise.

With an outstretched arm, I’ll bless Your Name and

Thank You, Lord, I just want to thank You, Lord.

Thank You, Lord, I just want to thank You, Lord.
