A NEW kind of life

Prelude

Welcome

Scripture Reading: Galatians 4:4-7

Praise Him! Praise Him!’

Praise Him! Praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer!
Sing, O Earth, His wonderful love proclaim!
Hail Him! hail Him! Highest archangels in glory,
strength and honor give to His holy Name!
Like a shepherd, Jesus will guard His children,
in His arms He carries them all day long.

Praise Him! Praise Him! Tell of His excellent greatness.
Praise Him! Praise Him! Ever in joyful song!

Praise Him! Praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer!
For our sins He suffered, and bled, and died.
He our Rock, our hope of eternal salvation,
Hail Him! hail Him! Jesus the Crucified.
Sound His praises! Jesus who bore our sorrows,
love unbounded, wonderful, deep and strong.

Praise Him! Praise Him! Tell of His excellent greatness.
Praise Him! Praise Him! Ever in joyful song!

Praise Him! Praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer!
Heav’nly portals loud with hosannas ring!
Jesus, Savior, reigneth forever and ever.
Crown Him! Crown Him! Prophet, and Priest, and King!
Christ is coming! over the world victorious,
pow’r and glory unto the Lord belong.

Praise Him! Praise Him! Tell of His excellent greatness.
Praise Him! Praise Him! Ever in joyful song!

Prayer

Scripture Reading: John 3:16-17

All: For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him.

Since Jesus Came into My Heart’

What a wonderful change in my life has been wrought

since Jesus came into my heart!

I have light in my soul for which long I had sought,

since Jesus came into my heart!

Since Jesus came into my heart, (2 x’s)

floods of joy o’er my soul, like the sea billows roll.

Since Jesus came into my heart.

I have ceased from my wandering and going astray,

since Jesus came into my heart.

And my sins, which were many, are all washed away,

since Jesus came into my heart!

Chorus

I shall go there to dwell in that City, I know,

since Jesus came into my heart!

And I’m happy, so happy, as onward I go,

since Jesus came into my heart!

Chorus

Scripture Reading: Colossians 1:15-20

Women: He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.

All: For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

Men: And He is the head of the body, the church.

All: He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything He might be preeminent. For in Him all the fullness of

God was pleased to dwell, and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of His cross.

In Christ Alone’

In Christ alone my hope is found.

He is my light my strength my song.

This Cornerstone, this solid Ground.

Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.

What heights of love, what depths of peace,

when fears are stilled when strivings cease!

My Comforter my All in All. Here in the love of Christ I stand.

In Christ alone! who took on flesh, fullness of God in helpless babe!

This Gift of love and righteousness

scorned by the ones He came to save.

Till on that cross as Jesus died, the wrath of God was satisfied.

For every sin on Him was laid. Here in the death of Christ I live.

There in the ground His body lay,

Light of the World by darkness slain.

Then bursting forth in glorious day, up from the grave He rose again!

And as He stands in victory, sin’s curse has lost its grip on me.

For I am His and He is mine,

bought with the precious blood of Christ.

No guilt in life no fear in death, this is the power of Christ in me.

From life’s first cry to final breath, Jesus commands my destiny.

(No power of hell no scheme of man,

can ever pluck me from His hand.

Till He returns or calls me home,

here in the power of Christ I’ll stand!) (repeat)

Message Title: A NEW Kind of Life’                  Text: 1 John 1:1-4

1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of life 2 the life was made manifest, and we have seen it, and testify to it and proclaim to you

the eternal life, which was with the Father and was made manifest to

us 3 that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship

is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. 4 And we are writing these things so that our joy may be complete

Scripture Reading: Galatians 2:20; Romans 6:3-4

Women: I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Men: Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? We were buried therefore with Him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.

Reign in Me’

Over all the earth, You reign on high,

every mountain stream, every sunset sky.

But my one request, Lord, my only aim

is that You’d reign in me again.

Lord, reign in me, reign in Your power

over all my dreams, in my darkest hour.

You are the Lord of all I am, so won’t You reign in me again.

Over every thought, over every word

may my life reflect the beauty of my Lord.

Cause You mean more to me than any earthly thing

so won’t You reign in me again.

Lord, reign in me, reign in Your power

over all my dreams, in my darkest hour.

You are the Lord of all I am, so won’t You reign in me again.

So won’t You reign in me again. So won’t You reign in me again.
