Prelude

Welcome

Scripture Reading: Psalm 43:3-4

     ‘Here I Am to Worship

         Holy, Holy, Holy’

Light of the world You stepped down into darkness,

opened my eyes, let me see.

Beauty that made this heart adore You, hope of a life spent with You.

Here I am to worship. Here I am to bow down.

Here I am to say that You’re my God.

You’re altogether lovely. Altogether worthy. Altogether wonderful to me.

King of all days oh so highly exalted, glorious in heaven above.

Humbly You came to the earth You created,

all for love’s sake became poor.

Chorus

I’ll never know how much it cost to see my sin upon that cross. (2 x’s)

Chorus

Tim Hughes ©2000 Kingsway’s Thankyou Music CCLI 1274918

Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty!

Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee;

Holy, Holy, Holy! Merciful and Mighty!

God in Three Persons, blessed Trinity!

Holy, Holy, Holy! All the saints adore Thee,

casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea;

cherubim and seraphim falling down before Thee,

which wert and art and evermore shalt be.

Holy, Holy, Holy! Tho the darkness hide Thee,

tho the eye of sinful man Thy glory may not see.

Only Thou art holy, there is none beside Thee

perfect in pow’r, in love and purity.

Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty!

All Thy works shall praise Thy name in earth and sky and sea;

Holy, Holy, Holy! Merciful and Mighty!

God in Three Persons, blessed Trinity!

Prayer

Scripture Reading: Lamentations 3:22-24

Women: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.

Men: “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in Him.”

‘All the People Said Amen’

You are not alone, if you are lonely.

When you feel afraid, you’re not the only.

We are all the same, in need of mercy. To be forgiven and be free.

It’s all you got to lean on but thank God it’s all you need.

And all the people said Amen, woah. And all the people said Amen.

Give thanks to the Lord for His love never ends.

And all the people said Amen.

If you’re rich or poor, well it don’t matter.

Weak or strong, you know love is what we’re after.

We’re all broken, but we’re all in this together.

God knows we stumble and fall.

And He so loved the world, He sent His son to save us all.

Chorus

Blessed are the poor in spirit who are torn apart.

Blessed are the persecuted and the pure in heart.

Blessed are the people hungry for another start.

For this is the kingdom, the kingdom of God.

And all the people said Amen, woah. And all the people said Amen.

Give thanks to the Lord for His love never ends.

And all the people said Amen.

Give thanks to the Lord for His love never ends.

And all the people said Amen. And all the people said Amen.

Message Title: ‘A life… of love’ pt.1                           Text: 1 John 2:7-11

Beloved, I am writing you no new commandment, but an old

commandment that you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word that you have heard. At the same time, it is a new commandment that I am writing to you, which is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining. Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness. Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling. But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

Scripture Reading: Mark 12:28b-31

All: “Which commandment is the most important of all?”

Women: Jesus answered, “The most important is, ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’

Men: The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

‘Our God Has Made Us One’

Our God has made us one, in Him our hearts unite.

When we, His children, share His love, our joy is His delight.

Our God has made us one, His glory is displayed.

For as we build each other; up our love becomes His praise.

Scripture Reading: Titus 3:4-7

Men: But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, He saved us,

Women: not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to His own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior,

All: so that being justified by His grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

‘Goodness of God’

I love You Lord, for Your mercy never failed me.

All my days, I’ve been held in Your hands.

From the moment that I wake up, until I lay my head,

oh, I will sing of the goodness of God.

And all my life You have been faithful.

And all my life You have been so, so good.

With every breath that I am able, Oh I will sing of the goodness of God

I love Your voice, You have led me through the fire.

In darkest night, You are close like no other.

I’ve known You as a Father. I’ve known You as a Friend.

I have lived in the goodness of God.

Chorus

Your goodness is running after, it’s running after me. (4 x’s)

With my life laid down, I’m surrendered now. I give You everything.

Your goodness is running after, it’s running after me.

And all my life You have been faithful.

And all my life You have been so, so good.

With every breath that I am able, Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God.

And all my life You have been faithful.

And all my life You have been so, so good.

With every breath that I am able, Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God.

Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God.

Offering / Prayer       ‘In the Lord I’ll Be Ever Thankful’

In the Lord I’ll be ever thankful. In the Lord I will rejoice.

Look to God, do not be afraid. Lift up your voices the Lord is near.

Lift up your voices the Lord is near.
