Prelude

Welcome

Scripture Reading: 1 John 5:13

‘Blessed Assurance’

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!  Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,

born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.

This is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior all the day long.
This is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior all the day long.

Perfect submission, perfect delight,

visions of rapture now burst on my sight.
Angels descending bring from above,

echoes of mercy, whispers of love.

Chorus

Perfect submission, all is at rest, I in my Savior am happy and blest.
Watching and waiting, looking above,

filled with His goodness, lost in His love.

Chorus

Prayer

Scripture Readings: Romans 5:8; Romans 9:25

Women: God shows is love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Men: …Those who were not My people I will call ‘My people,’ and her who was not beloved I will call ‘beloved.’

‘Remind Me Who I Am’

When I lose my way, and I forget my name, remind me who I am.

In the mirror all I see, is who I don’t want to be, remind me who I am.

In the loneliest places, when I can’t remember what grace is.

Tell me once again who I am to You, who I am to You.

Tell me, lest I forget who I am to You, that I belong to You, to You.

When my heart is like a stone and I’m running far from home,

remind me who I am.

When I can’t receive Your love, afraid I’ll never be enough,

remind me who I am.

If I’m Your beloved, would You help me believe it?

Chorus

I’m the one You love. I’m the one You love.

That will be enough. I’m the one You love.

Chorus

Message Title: ‘Remember who you are’                   Text: 1 John 2:12-14

Scripture Reading: Romans 1:4ff

Women:  …Jesus Christ our Lord, through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of His name among all the nations, including you who are called to belong to Jesus Christ,

Men: To all those…who are loved by God and called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

‘You Say’

I keep fighting voices in my mind that say I’m not enough.

Every single lie that tells me I will never measure up.

Am I more than just the sum of every high and every low?

Remind me once again just who I am, because I need to know.

You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing.

You say I am strong when I think I am weak.

You say I am held when I am falling short.

When I don’t belong, oh You say that I am Yours.

And I believe, oh I believe.  What You say of me I believe.

The only thing that matters now is everything You think of me.

In You I find my worth, in You I find my identity.

You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing.

You say I am strong when I think I am weak.

You say I am held when I am falling short.

When I don’t belong, oh You say that I am Yours.

And I believe, oh I believe.  What You say of me I believe.

Taking all I have and now I’m laying it at Your feet.

You have every failure God, and You’ll have every victory.

You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing.

You say I am strong when I think I am weak.

You say I am held when I am falling short.

When I don’t belong, oh You say that I am Yours.

And I believe, oh I believe.  What You say of me, I believe.

Oh I believe, yes I believe. What You say of me. Oh I believe.

Scripture Readings: 1 Peter 2:9-10; John 8:36

Men: …you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Women: Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

All:  So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

‘Who You Say I Am’

Who am I that the highest King would welcome me.

I was lost but He brought me in. Oh His love for me. Oh His love for me

Who the Son sets free oh is free indeed. I’m a child of God yes I am.

Free at last He has ransomed me, His grace runs deep.

While I was a slave to sin Jesus died for me. Yes He died for me.

Who the Son sets free oh is free indeed. I’m a child of God yes I am.

In my Father’s house there’s a place for me. I’m a child of God yes I am.

I am chosen, not forsaken. I am who You say I am.

You are for me not against me. I am who You say I am.

I am chosen not forsaken. I am who You say I am.

You are for me not against me. I am who You say I am.

I am who You say I am.

Who the Son sets free oh is free indeed. I’m a child of God yes I am.

In my Father’s house there’s a place for me. I’m a child of God yes I am.

In my Father’s house there’s a place for me. I’m a child of God yes I am.

Offering / Prayer                ‘New Doxology’

Praise God from whom all blessings flow.

Praise Him all creatures here below.

Praise Him above, ye heavenly hosts. Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

Let earth and heavenly saints proclaim.

The power and might of His great name.

Let us exalt on bended knee. Praise God, the Holy Trinity.

Praise God, praise God, praise God, who saved my soul.

Praise God, praise God, praise God from Whom all blessings flow.

Praise to the King, His throne transcends.

His crown and Kingdom never end.

Now and throughout eternity. I’ll praise the One who died for me.

Praise God, praise God, praise God, who saved my soul.

Praise God, praise God, praise God from Whom all blessings flow.

Praise God from Whom all blessings flow.

Praise God from Whom all blessings flow.
