I am not opposed to education, but when I read the Scriptures, I notice that God used the “unschooled, ordinary” individuals to spread His message and continue His work. Acts 4:13-14 says, “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they were astonished. And they recognized that they had been with Jesus. But seeing the man who was healed standing beside them, they had nothing to say in opposition.”

There was no doubt about who carried out the work through Peter and John. I recently read: “There must be no misattribution of glory—not because God is a cosmic egotist, but because such a mistake would divert us from God. It would undermine the joy of life in Christ. Therefore, the success of the redemptive plan did not rely on human wisdom, power, or status, so that those who boast would only boast in the Lord (1 Corinthians 1:26,31).”

Take a moment this morning, if you're reading then, to ask the Holy Spirit to help those listening to sermons and reading the Word to stay connected with God and avoid distractions from the speaker or writer. Essentially, that you and they would come to know Christ and experience the power of His resurrection.

Keep moving forward,

Gene
