During my workout session with a friend this morning, I shared that it's been a really long week. I also shared that I'm often reminded of the comforting words from the Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:9, especially the first six words, “My grace is sufficient for you.”
Some passages in the New Testament suggest that Paul wasn't known as a great orator of his time. Based on his own words, whether by choice or necessity, he didn’t approach the Corinthian believers with "lofty speech or wisdom". Instead, he emphasized, “but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power." This highlights his focus on spiritual power over rhetorical flourishes.
Paul's confidence came solely from God speaking to him, providing the words to say, and the Holy Spirit empowering him with the courage he needed.
Today, as you go about your day, take a moment to ask the Lord, 'Use my weaknesses for Your will to be done today.' May Christ’s power rest on you!
Being Bold in my weakness,
Gene
