Have you noticed that in Scripture, God often chose the weaker vessels to deliver His messages? For instance, when Moses saw the burning bush, his last complaint was about his speaking ability: 10 But Moses said to the LORD, “Oh, my Lord, I am not eloquent, either in the past or since you have spoken to your servant, but I am slow of speech and of tongue.” Exodus 4:10.

Watch the LORD’s response in verses 11 and 12. 11 Then the LORD said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, the LORD? 12 Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall speak.”

Like many of us at some point, Moses asks God to send someone else. In response, God, somewhat angrily, appoints Aaron as his spokesperson. God instructs Moses, who then relays His message to Aaron, who speaks to the people and Pharaoh. When sharing the Good News, don’t rely on the pastor, staff, or anyone else who seems more eloquent. Instead, surrender yourself and your voice to Him. He will use you, as He often does, to confound the wise with what seems weak.
