“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” — Galatians 3:28

In ancient times, society was divided. Identity and worth were based on heritage, social rank, or gender, affecting self-view, standing before God, and future hopes. (Sounds a bit like today!)

Apostle Paul declares a radical shift for the born again: being "in Christ" means entering a new reality where the "dividing wall of hostility" is gone. While backgrounds or differences remain, they no longer determine our spiritual status or access to God's inheritance.

When we are "clothed with Christ" through faith, we are equally redeemed and loved. The ground at the foot of the cross is level for all believers. Whether feeling "less than" because of past circumstances or "greater than" because of worldly status, the gospel reminds us that those who have new life in Christ are one family, sharing one Spirit, under one Savior.

Today, see your fellow believers not by worldly labels but as those transformed by grace. In a fractured world, their unity powerfully witnesses Jesus's transformative power.

How does knowing you're "one in Christ" impact your view of believers who are different?

Are there social barriers you still struggle to let go of in the Christian community?

Lord God, thank You for new life and for bringing me into a family beyond earthly boundaries. Forgive me for letting prejudice or social status cloud my view of fellow believers. Help us walk in true unity and show the world Your redeeming grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Walking the level ground together,

Gene
