"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." - Joshua 1:9
Joshua was about to lead Israel into a new and challenging season. God did not promise that every obstacle would disappear or that every battle would be easy. Instead, He gave Joshua something even greater - His presence.
The same truth encourages believers today. There are situations we cannot control, questions we cannot answer, and burdens we cannot carry alone. Yet God reminds us that courage is not found in our own strength but in knowing He is with us.
Whatever today holds for you, you do not face it by yourself. The Lord who guided Joshua, sustained David, and strengthened Paul is the same Lord who walks with His people now. His presence is not dependent on your feelings or circumstances. He remains faithful.
Father, thank You that I never walk alone. Help me face today's challenges with confidence in Your presence rather than in my own strength. Give me courage where I am tempted to fear and peace where I am tempted to worry. In Jesus' name, amen.
Here's a through for today:
God's presence is greater than any problem we will face today.
