“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” - Psalm 23:1
Throughout history, people have always navigated a world full of constant searching and striving. It's common to judge our days by what we don't have, what we miss, or what we feel we need to achieve next.
But this beautiful verse gently encourages us to pause our hurried rush. It invites us to shift our attention from never-ending wants to appreciating the here and now.
When you declare that the Lord is your shepherd, you're embracing His loving ownership and His gentle guidance every step of the way. Just like a sheep trusts the shepherd to find the perfect pasture without worry about tomorrow, you can relax knowing that God, in His infinite love and capability, has already taken care of your deepest needs. True contentment blossoms when you shift your focus from what’s missing to the blessings of your Shepherd—because with Him, you truly have enough and more.
Lord, quiet my restless heart today. Help me rest in Your absolute
sufficiency and trust Your timing. In the Mighty name of Jesus, amen.

Gene
